In Every Moment

In happy moments praise God.
In difficult moments seek God.
In the quiet moments trust God.
In every moment thank God.
~ Unknown

We go from one moment to another so quickly. Most of the time you only notice how fast they go by until you look back.
There are moments that we wish we could relive.
There are moments we are glad are long gone.
There are moments we look forward to living.
Moments sure are precious, make the most of them.

p.s. I really need to take pictures that don't involve bookcases. Sorry about that.

Count your blessings.

Shirt: Yard sale, Skirt: RW&Co, Flats: Naturalizer

The other day I was having a rough day. Things were not going my way and my head was flooded with thoughts and worries.
My 5 year old brother comes up to me and states " Sarah, why aren't you smiling?"
I say " Well, I don't feel like smiling right now."
He replies " Please smile now, I like it when you smile."
My heart melted!
It got me thinking of how much I have to smile about.
I have an awesome family, a warm house, plenty of food, way to many clothes... I could go on forever!
I am going to strive to count my blessings; my many reasons to put a smile on my face.
There is always a reason to rejoice.
There is always a reason to smile.
Find that reason!

"Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances."

A Part of Me

Sweater: RW&Co, Jeans: Forever21, Socks: Joe Fresh, Boots: Nautralizer

When my whole family goes to town, it's really interesting to hear all of the reactions of the people that see us all.
The two things that are usually said to my parents are...

"Wow! That is so neat to see! You never see that now a days!"

or it's,

"Are you nuts! That's just wrong" etc...

I love having a big family. I wouldn't change that for the world.
So many people just don't understand how awesome it is.
Don't get me wrong, there are times when having my things stolen, broken, and/or lost can be frustrating, but it pales in comparison to the joys of being the oldest of a big family.
The joys like your little 1 year old brother running up to you for a hug, or your little sister asking you to pick out her clothes for the day or do her hair, or having a little brother ask you to kiss his boo boo better...
I could go on :)
I am SO thankful that God has put me in the place I am.
It's, to put it mildly...

Awesome.

Breaks = Awesome

So I've been real busy this week doing things that I have been trying to do for sooooo long. Usually we don't really take too much of a break off from school for the holiday season, but this this year we took a 2 week long break. It was much needed :)

I am so happy with how this apron turned out. I love it when I actually finish a project.
( I put the pro in procrastination)

I found two basic tees at Superstore for $5 each so I decided to try refashioning them into something more exciting.

Let me introduce myself....

My name is Sarah
I am the oldest of 9 kids.... and I don't mean goats.
I was born and still currently live and work on a dairy farm somewhere up in Canada.
( ya, the place where we live in igloos and ride polar bears :)
I'm home schooled and will be graduating this spring.
I love God with everything I am and strive to bring glory to Him in everything I do.

So that pretty much sums up my life.
Pretty interesting, eh?

Anyways... welcome to my life :)
why don't ya take your coat off and stay awhile?
